The front snap kick is very similar to the front kick, with the exception that it uses the foot at the front of your stance instead of the rear leg. The advantage of using the front leg is that it is faster than using the rear as it has less distance to travel. Since it is faster, it also gives less warning – has less telescoping of the move. The disadvantage is that since it is closer, it will have less power.

Weight is taken by your back leg, knee rises to kick height
Front foot is snapped out and back again
