The front kick is an effective and powerful strike to use. Not only is the leg longer than the arm so the strike can be delivered while further away from the opponent, but your entire body weight can be put behind the strike.
From a strong Stance
Body twists forward and knee rises to waist
Hands pull backward and kick pushes out forward
From a strong stance
Knee rises to the height the kick will be
Hands pull back and leg extends. Toes pull back
Leg retracts ensuring foot does not drop
Return to stance
