Warming Up Torso

The torso includes the chest, waist and hips. This transfers all the twisting motion, which is used in strikes and kicks. 

1. Bend to the side. Facing forward with fists on hips. Keeping shoulders facing forward, reach over your head with your right arm and bend at your waist. Hold for 5 seconds. Perform on the left side and hold for 5 seconds. Perform twice on each side.

2. Twist backward. Hold hands out in front of you, one hand holding the other. Maintaining feet position, twist to your left, look to the rear and point your left hand to the rear. Maintain stretch for 5 seconds. Change sides and hold your right hand behind you for 5 seconds. Perform twice on each side.
